Measuring devices designed for interfacing smartphones & tablets

The devices belonging to this family of measuring sensors are characterized by the capability of directly connecting with intelligent devices like smartphones, tablets or PCs. In particular, thanks to the processing power and convenient graphical interface of the newer smartphones is now possible with the addition of a SS0x device to cheaply obtain a compact and powerful professional tool.

The communication between a sensor SS0x and the end user unit can be performed using one of the following interfaces:

- AudioCom

- USB 2.0

The choice of the type of interface depends on the application and the type of equipment to which the sensor is connected:

The proprietary interface AudioCom allows communication of data+power through the standard audio channels of smartphone devices (L/R + MIC). To make the connection just use the headset jack port.

In the case of the USB interface it is necessary that your smartphone can handle the USB Host mode (note that for devices based on Android is required a version >= 3.1).
